Refund & Return Policy

At mai originals, every product is made to order through our production partner. Each item is produced individually after you place your order, helping us reduce overproduction and waste.

We follow all Finnish and EU consumer protection laws and want to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase.

Right of Withdrawal (14 Days)

Under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Kuluttajansuojalaki, 6:14–6:18), you have the right to withdraw from your online purchase within 14 days of receiving the product, without giving any reason.

To use your right of withdrawal:

Notify us by email within 14 days of receiving your order at info@maioriginals.com. Include your order number, name, and a short statement that you wish to withdraw from the purchase.

After notifying us, return the product(s) within 14 days to the return address we provide.

Once we receive the return and confirm that the product is in its original condition, we will issue a refund of the full purchase price, including standard shipping costs. Return shipping costs are covered by the customer, unless the product is defective or incorrect.

Made-to-Order Products

Because all mai originals items are produced individually on demand, the right of withdrawal may not apply if production has already begun or if the product is custom-made or clearly personalized.

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible after placing it — before production starts — to see if cancellation is still possible.

We always aim to accommodate reasonable requests whenever possible.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or misprinted, you are entitled to a replacement or refund under Finnish consumer protection law.

Please contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@maioriginals.com and include:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photos of the damaged or defective product

We will review your case and arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.

Responsibility During Delivery

Please ensure that your shipping address is correct when placing your order. mai originals is not responsible for packages lost or delayed due to incorrect address information provided by the customer. If the package is returned to us for this reason, an additional shipping fee may apply to resend it.
